The Cengiz Group has always taken a proactive approach to
public transport planning. This ensures that the new
residential and industrial developments are built to permit
the early provision of bus services. By maintaining a close
relationship with State and Local governments, Cengiz Turizm
has successfully contributed to planning policies which
foster efficient public transport.
A prime example of this approach in the
early 1990s was Cengiz close association with the planning
and design of the $25 million bus interchange at Turkey.
This modern facility gave Adana commuters in 1995 an
excellent example of integrated public transport
infrastructure, ready for the continuing expansion of the
Turkey Sector.
Other bus/rail interchanges with which
Cengiz Turizm staff has been vitally involved are those at
Adana and Mersin. As the prime operator of buses at each of
these locations, Cengiz Turizm believes that modern
facilities where passengers can transfer easily between bus
and train will encourage public transport use. |
